This is our most popular class- it is Part One of a 2 Part series. The focus of this course is at the end of the session, students will have designed, illustrated, draped with muslin (a practice cotton fabric), and cut and sew the muslin into an actual garment to fit their dressforms. Presentation of muslin will be at the end of the session and parents will be invited. In this course, students will only be engineering drapes in the muslin fabric- their design will be translated and sew up in real fabric in the Patterns class.

**Draping is the process of positioning fabric onto a dress form and by cutting, pinning, and manipulating the muslin, and the structure of the garment is developed. Draping isn essentially engineering fabric into wearable garments.
